I'm glad that I'm not the only one who's had problems. First day I picked up my VStrom I broke off one of the keys in the topcase lock. At the bank where I was picking up paperwork to pay for it. With my helmet locked it it. Fortunately, I was able to get it open with needlenose pliers.

Then yesterday I got two of my locks stuck, I found WD40 got them to open up - it's the little gate on the lock that gets stiff.

Then to finally ice the cake, today I apparently managed to lose the non-broken key, so I went to Home Depot to see if they could cut me a key from the broken one. They can. If I can find the blank. Good luck!

Apparently it's a Yale Y11 I need, hopefully I can find a locksmith that has one before I winterize it so I can take the cases off.

Tri-flow works super on all types of locks. Avoid 3-in-one and other vegetable based oils.
