Default OEM Rear Rack: Adventure

I can't find it online, nor can either dealership near my house. I'm looking for a replacement for the aluminum rear rack that came with the ADV model.

It seems the rear rack is required to use the OEM side racks? Will an aftermarket rear rack work and still allow use of the OEM side racks?

Older models used a different rear carrier as part of the OEM luggage package. From the photos I've seen, the 2012 DL650 Adventure luggage does not do that. The rear luggage rack is not aluminum but the stock non-Adventure resin compound rack with an aluminum plate attached. The part number for the plate is 990D0-11J060.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish?

Not exactly sure what you are asking. the rack itself is ABS plastic now not alum. the additional alum piece on top of the rack is for the Suzuki top box only. Even though SW Motech makes it for them The Brackets in the box and the mounts on the rack plate are specific to Suzuki. Hope this helps.

Thanks gents,

That part number from GW is what I'm looking for.

I should've re-read my post, not very clear.

The plate I mentioned comes with the Adventure model. It needs to be added to a non Adventure model to use the Suzuki top case. The aluminum top case part number is 990D0-ALTCE-038. It also needs the top case installation kit 990D0-11J00-062 to mount to the plate.

I have a brand new one for sale. It is off my 2012 V-Strom 650 ADV. Look in Marketplace For Sale section.
