Default Help can anyone advise or assist with pro oiler install on the 2012 dl650

Would appreciate some input, I am looking at getting a pro-oiler for my bike very soon.
I have Googled and searched the forums but can't find anything on an install on the new model only the previous one.
Has anyone put one on a 2012 are there any issues with it.

When i get one would anyone in Brissie be able to assist with install if required or at least offer advice as I have never installed an oiler before.

I have been in touch with Arnold at pro-oiler and he has been very helpful so far with my questions, I may have more for him yet before I buy.

Any replies in regards to oiler installs etc would be appreciated.

Sorry if this post is in the wrong place but it is in regards to the 2012.

Cheers Gotawee

Hi AceRider and Bozz
Thanks for your replies.

I just wanted to know if anyone had problems installing it on the new model and if I need help would someone be able to help me and just advice on them in general.

How long have you had the pro-oiler and are you happy with it's performance.
Have you ever used any others.
I have looked a the Scott e system but think the pro might be better.

Did tapping into the speedo wire cause any issues for you.
I believe it's pink in colour and in the wiring harness on the left hand side.
I am not confident in tapping into the wiring in case I bugger up something on the bike not having done this before and as said I have no experience with oilers or the bikes wiring. Having only owned a Suzuki gs500 before and it didn't have lots of electronic stuff controlling everything on the bike.
I may need to get a wiring diagram from somewhere for the new bike.

I would like to try and do this install myself but if I can't I could 'get Suzuki to do it.
Did you use the possi connector thing supplied or attach it another way eg solder it.
Were did you mount the bottle on you bike and did you glue or screw the oilers prong mounting bracket to the swing arm.

Thanks again for any help/advice

Cheers Gotawee

i solder the wire - but u can use posi connector or other equivalent - no problems whatsover in the last 25,000km i had them. No other parts give any issue so far

- since u are in brisbane, you can come around and have a look at the installation - PM me
