I'm back NOW because your reply to KS makes it sound as tho you think I'm "still at it". Anyone can quote something I said a month ago, Jay. That doesn't mean I've said it again - it means someone is raking it up again... apparently so they can offer criticism of my criticism (again, my odd sense of humor loves that sort of logic circle!).

I wish KS had also quoted my NEXT post, which was, and stands for all time:
I'm done, too - I can't be "sorry police" here every time someone quotes an old post out of context. If someone else feels the need to quote my first critical post and call me a jack-hole again, just know it's not ME RE-SAYING it, and apply one of the several apologies I've already made.

Uncle Wally from PEI, Canada. Been riding for over 40 years. On a whim, I sold a BMW (great bike) and bought a '09 DL650A. Rode it for 2 seasons, over 60 000 km's. Did the Trans-Lab Highway (look it up!) and circumnavigated Baja - mostly off road (see Old Farts Baja on YouTube) and rode over 15 000 km's of off road and/or rough road in Texas, Arizona; with knobbies, not a problem. Knobbies off, I nearly scraped the pegs off on the Tail of the Dragon. Just sold the the "Strom-Classic" and bought the New 'Strom shown here. For the money, the DL650A is one of the best bikes I've ever owned.
