Part #: 42100-06860 $327.95 Consider SW-MOTECH Centerstand (Suzuki DL650 V-Strom, '12-) - V-Strom DL650, '12- - Suzuki - Shop by Bike - TwistedThrottle.com too though. I'm happy with mine and it costs $179.99.

The new happy trails version looks like a winner as well. Save the difference and buy something else.

Do notice the H-T stand only has a single connection between the left and right legs while others also have a top connection. Don't be rough with the bike on the stand.

Thanks for the replies.
Here's what I've learned reading the threads: Murphs (great people to deal with) new/better model coming out. SWMoto-easy install, harder to deploy (especially on a lowered bike), less stable. Happy trails-bitch to put on, not easy to align. Suzuki OEM-the best? but $75-150 more? Thanks to the info on this board, getting 0% financing for 60 months-may outlast me, I'm 71. Any rebates on the 2012 models? Thanks again, Ian |

The S.W. Motech is a lot easier to deploy on a stock height bike than a Suzuki o.e.m. stand and is made better-I've had both on two different Stroms. Cheers--BB

Also, while the stance on the SW-M is narrower, there's no way I would call it unstable. Mine's on a 3/4" lowered bike and this 67 year old has no trouble with it using three full pieces of luggage.

I put a Suzuki factory stand on my 09 and was so disappointed in the paint job that I repainted it before install. On my future 2013 I plan on getting the SWMotech. I have had other products from them and was always impressed with design and finish.
