Yeah, I noticed just because I lurked for quite a while myself, a couple years I think. You can sure learn a lot just by searching and reading. And as you can see, I still don't post much.

I have been riding touring and GS BMS since 1989 and wanted something with more suspension travel than my K75 to baby my mature and aging back. I test rode a 2011 BMW F650GS (800cc - go figure) and rode a neighbor's (nice guy) 2011 650 Strom the next day. My mind was made up. The K75 was sold and a 2012 650 V-Strom Adventurer is in the garage. Does anyone want to buy a set of Suzuki Adventure aluminum side cases? Great bike, questionable (to be kind) luggage.

Hi Snick,

I testrode the F650GS (twin) when I was looking for a replacement for my aging 2004 DL650 --and came away thoroughly unimpressed. Easy to ride? Sure. Exciting/inspiring/fun? Not at all.

I am sure you will get on well with your Glee!

Good review and sums up the bike exactly. For the price, it can't be beat.

Going off road you just have to be aware of it's limits and ride appropriately.

Several of these reviews are what made my mind up for the 12+650. I currently own a Versys ,but will probably get it this month when the dealer tells me it's in. Getting the itch for riding soon!!
