Just picked up this new to me 04 wee. 12K miles, looks very good, IMHO. Drove some 140 miles to pick her up and rode it home. Been riding an XR 650L and my wife's Dr650. What a difference. Sweet sound with scorpion exhaust. Great ride home. Love how the bike corners. Bike has suzuki gel seat but also stock seat, thought the gel put me up too high with the stock bar height. Might not matter, when I got home my wife put the stock seat on it and is calling it hers.

Thanks! Well, if she takes it she can't argue too much with me on the new adventure I had wanted.
Love the sound of the scorpion, not loud at all, but a nice deep growl. Intoxicating. Rode interstate home, had no problem running 80mph all day long. Once back I took it down some favorite roads, twisty roads had me running much to fast, especially for a new bike. I know I am coming off of a vastly different type of bike, but I could not believe the difference.
I don't know what kind of windshield is on it, but I had no trouble with turbulence.
Looking through the book back home, I am up for some 12,000 mile maintenance.

Congratulations! Sweet looking bike, and barely broken in! I can't believe someone(s) could own a Wee for 8 years and only clock 12k miles. There are riders and there are polishers. I thought all the polishers had Harley's but evidently one got away. Great score, man!

sbeadg - It was polished really well! Kinda what I told my wife, that these things go 40, 60,000 milesregularly. We want to do some touring, I think these will be just the bikes.

On the way home, taking curves, much too fast for a new bike, I kept thinking of some motorcycle magazine review I had read where the reviewer called the wee strom "shockingly capable".
