I know the rear takes 2 6204-2RS and 1-62/32-2RS. Now for the question. Haven't been into the rear end yet, so is the OEM 6204 bearings have both sides sealed or not? 2nd question. I can find the 62/32-2RS easy on the net made in China, but cannot find the NSK brand from Japan. Does anyone have a good source of where to buy this bearing and not the China made one? Any help appreciated.

The OEM bearings are not sealed on both sides but it is easy and recommended to get bearings that are. Japanese, European and American bearings are all good quality. I got SKF bearings made in Japan from Amazon.

Check regional phone books...Jackson, Baton Rouge, etc...for a bearing supply house. Any good local truck repair or other machinery repair supply store, some auto parts stores, will also have good sources. By the way, there are some quality Chinese parts, and some junk. I'd trust NAPA made in China (but I'd hate to buy it--and I did buy a Chinese NAPA front axle & CV joint for my Volvo that worked out OK).

I may not be following this correctly but there is also a bearing on the sprocket backing plate. I pulled all my bearings and hand lubricated them and they were as good as new. They were not dry, rusted or damaged when I cleaned them. I found an adapter for my grease gun that has a zerk that plugs into the grease gun tip & a hypodermic needle that you can get down between the bearings with the grease & then work the bearing and grease again and work the bearing. This works good for steering stem bearings where you cannot get the bearing off to grease it by hand the way you would normally do it.

The sprocket carrier bearing, the one you mention, is the 62/32 bearing in the original posting.
Nothing wrong with cleaning and regreasing the bearings as long as they are carefully inspected and have no pitting. I'd put on new seals after the clean/inspection/regrease. Most of the time (on many electric motors and other machinery) I've used double sealed bearings because too many people get dirt in when they regrease shortening the bearing life. An open bearing that is properly cleaned and regreased will have longer total life than a sealed bearing with its factory long-life grease, but the open bearing that isn't correctly handled won't live long.

Taking out the wheel bearings is likely to damage them. I wouldn't try removing and re-greasing them. The sprocket carrier bearing open side can be easily reached.
