I'm looking to get a new battery for my 07 Wee. My buddy told me that the Odyssey's would be the best since I run a lot of electrics. They can be deep cycle a bazillion times and still be amazing. So with that said, has anyone had any experience with the Odyssey batteries and what size to use? I can't find anywhere which model I'd get. I was looking at this one:
Odyssey PC680 Battery - Free Shipping: BatteryMart.com Odyssey PC680 battery, but I'm not sure. Thanks for any help. |

There is no direct, no modification odyssey battery available in the 12BS size.
The odyssey battery is awesome. You may consider a phantom or shori lithium iron if your wallet is fat. Check my thread on Phantom batteries. Here is a photo of a 12bs a pc680 and a pc545. ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Motorcycle

Dave, do you run your stuff with the engine off? If not, your buddy is missing the point. While the engine is running, the alternator is powering your stuff and the battery just serves as a buffer during the short times your engine rpms are down...while you are at stop lights, for example. The battery is just a "tank" holding electricity. When it is empty it must be refilled...by the alternator. When you're running the battery gets "refilled" and then just floats on line handling short term shortages of electricity such as rpms down for a short time.

I just bought the same battery from batterymart.com
The terminals on the battery are too wide for the cable connectors on my 07 dl650. Did you need to add spacers and user longer bolts to make flush connections? The battery seems well built & I really don't want to return it. |

Ditto - just replaced the '07 batt with a dirt cheap Amazon fiberglass model - $28 I think. On life support as we speak...

My motobatt seems to be working out great. Still not sure what to do about 2 sets of terminals (don't know if i can use both sets at the same time or not)

+1 on the Odessey. They really are a better battery than stock.
