I would shop for a bike with a manual that doesn't come apart.
Get the manual you want and hope like hell you like the bike that comes with it.

I wonder how good the Ural manual is (based on the presumption it is in English).

The Ural manuals are leather bound and written in Cyrillic. Six volumes, just under 6000 pages. No pictures.

On the other hand, a well-known European motorcycle manufacturer stopped printing manuals years ago, and charges $150 for a CD. Man, I hate getting the keyboard greasy...
