Default No problems here

Purchased my 2011 on Jan 5, 2012. The side bags were already mounted on the bike, no charge for installation, and the OEM top box arrived a week later... Along with some other ORM fakes I had ordered. Dealer installed all of it for no charge.

The side bags themselves are CRAP. They are are oddly shaped, so their capacity is not fully utlizable. The hinge straps all came apart within 6 weeks, so now the doors fall all the way down when opening. Closing the bags completely (securely) is a challenge, too, with one being far worse than the other. The only truly positive thing I can say about them is that they were dirt cheap!

The top box I really like, though if I were doing it all over again, I'd probably buy aftermarket.

Oh, also, replacement keys for the side bags and/or top box are impossible to get from Suzuki or the dealership. Thankfully, ILCO has a Mercedes blank that works well. I don't remember the number off the top of my head - MB8 maybe? DO NOT use the ILCO Mazda MZ13 blank. It is almost impossible to get a good cut (tried mynself and then two separate locksmiths). Even if you get a good cut, the shaft is too thick and can damage newer, tighter lock cores.

Wish I'd saved my money and bought something else...

Purchased 2011 DL650A on Feb 4. After much pursuit, I finally received a call that they had arrived 5 months and one day later. Made it to dealership today to pick them up. Guess what is missing? The top mounting bracket that allows the side mounts to attach.

Loving my dealer and how they have worked so hard on my behalf and not simply blamed "corporate." Just kidding. Now how long until I get the rest of the package....

I bought mine on Feb. 1, and received them last week. I feel fortunate that everything was included. I installed the racks and then put my soft bags over them. Not sure if I'll use the hard bags or sell them, and buy larger aftermarket bags.
My dealer thought Mama Suzuki made a mistake including the top rack and was balking at handing it over, till I insisted it was needed and part of the promotion.
Good luck getting your rack, it's the best part of the package.

Default Good rack

I also purchased the set on my new '11 wee. They were great as starter cases, but unfortunately I took a fall on a dirt road and one of the cases exploded. It had it's funeral where it lay. Then I found out that a replacement was no where to be found. Even my dealer where I bought the bike couldn't find one. So I replaced the hard cases with some soft bags. I bought the Nelson-Rigg CL-850s and they fit right over the rack, and it works perfectly.
