Hi All,
While servicing my 2004 vstrom 1000 (throttle sync , etc..) I decided to try it out before putting the fairing back on. What a difference! As I don't take the bike for long trips like I used to, I would not mind giving up riding protection from wind for an easier and lighter bike to run. As a friend of mine here in ROme told me years ago when I bought my bike, the front and side of the bike look more like a newsstand than a decent fairing. I have to agree: it is huge and just not harmonious. I have seen some experimentation but nothing to fall in love with. The skinnier fairing of the 650 2012 isn't bad at all. Does anybody know of custom parts made for vee in order to remove most of that bulky fairing?
Cheers,
C0stantino
