Default Favorite budget noisemakers?

What's everyone's favorite set of cans for the DL1000? This engine needs to be heard!!! I'm only considering the more budget kinds though, so let's hear it! I'm leaning towards the Two Brothers for around $550.

Default Holeshot

I just got my DL1K3, and ordered the TFI box, frt fender extender and 16T sprocket from Holeshot.

I have had such good success with Dale Walker's stuff and advice on my B12that anything I need for the Strom is coming from him. I voted for the Holeshot cans, but don't yet have them.

I want to do this in stages, and the TFI made the most sense to start with, then see how it performs before going to the 16T up front. My bike came with a 17/42, so it almost splits the difference between stock and a 16/41.

Yep, Holeshot is the one even though they can be a bit more spendy. I would rather go with what works and get the service that in my opinion can't be matched.

Have a good one!

Howard.

I had a Holeshot high-mount pipe on my FZ1, and yeah, that thing was awesome. Sounded excellent, much better than the D&D that I had before.

I have a scorpion on my SVS and love it. It would be nice to get one for my DL - but then again - I'm not unhappy with the stock pipe. I don't care much about HP increase on the DL. The DL for me is about distance and versitility. So if I'm down a little on HP, no biggie.

This is a little off topic but I am curious, which are the lightest as far as weight. I would like to replace mine, and want to go as light as possible. The weight is high in the exhaust and lighter cans may make a slight difference in the top heavy feel. Also this will help offset the weight of the crash bars and skid plate. Sorry for the O/T, just

HH, I don't know about you but I'm DYING to ride! Did you see the weather forecast for Sunday? 7 for a high, and -2 for a low! Gonna need more than gripheaters I'm afraid

Here's a quote from the Two Brothers website:
Quote:
The stock canisters weigh in at a hefty 25.45 lbs., while the TBR slip-ons (dual canister with s-bends and hardware) weigh in a svelte 10.85 lbs. (14.6 lbs. weight reduction).

I heard that you drop about 14lbs just going to after market cans.

Quote from Holeshot's website:

Quote:
The Holeshot slip-ons reduce a ton of weight by removing about 14 lbs. This not only adds performance, but also makes the bike more nimble handling.

Thanks MZ, I didn't get a chance to look at all the web sites yet to see about weight. I just thought that it kind of went with your thread.
And your right, the weather SUCKS!! I may have to work this weekend too so may not get to drool over the bike. Can't wait to ride in some nice weather!
