I'm new to the Austin, TX area. Does anyone know a really good Suzuki mechanic in the area they would recommend? Done all I'm able, need help with a low speed stumble, sneeze, cough, back fire, miss, hiccup kind of problem.

Try Zabors on Burnet Road--they have a good reputation, although I have only had state inspections done there. Many folks say avoid Woods, bur again no direct experience. Central Texas Powersports in Georgetown also has a decent reputation and are a franchised Suzuki dealer.

Zabor's has long been the place to go for knowledgable, no nonsense motorcycle repair in Austin. Now I hear Austin City Powersports is on their way to becoming the Zabor's of south Austin. I haven't been there myself yet, but some friends have told me good things, and I'll be trying them next time I need something done that I don't have the skills, tools or time for.

I personally had a bad experience with Woods several years ago on a new VFR I bought from them. In a nutshell, they were trying to charging me for work I know they didn't do because I had marked the bolts. Even after showing them the marks in the parking lot when I picked the bike up they held to their story for a long time. I think I was there over an hour. It was crazy.

I use Zabour fo tires and inspection. I like Paul (the owner) and would certainly use him if I needed an out of warranty service.
