I have a v strom 1000 with 40,000 on it I set valves within the last 8000 miles , new rear bearings , chain and sprockets , haven't put bearings in the front wheel or the swing arm ,or steering head, but they feel good no play or run out. I did sync the throttle bodies last year (will do it again this spring) . Everything seems to work great runs strong ,new Metzger m880 's, fork brace, realshelby clutch basket,cee baily windsheild.
One other thing this is a 2003 it came with Kappa hard bags top and side the former owner left the top box unlocked and it hit the ground at 60 mph mainly scratched the finish on the top half it is yellow (gold metalic) . If any one knows of a box that color someone wants to sell ,please let me know .thank you Duane
