I too have one of realshelby's baskets in my bike. I was lucky enough to be chosen to be one of his guinea pigs. I have to concur with what swingset has said that it is like getting a new bike.

In the 500 miles that I have put on my bike it is a no brainer from the moment you let out the clutch the bike is smoother. I can get a very slight amount of chudder in the low rpm range. From 3000-3500 and that is all. It is so slight it may be a tuning issue as much as chudder.

On a much more interesting note I had a very nasty secondary vibration that was developing in the 5700 rpm range on up and that has disappeared with this reworked basket. I am looking forward to putting many more miles on my bike and I am certain they will be chudder free. I am glad to have my smooth bike back. I will continue to give feedback as the miles pile on. I also will make you the same promise that I gave to Terry. I will let you know what goes on weather it is good or bad with this basket.

well when i decide to take my clutch basket out and have it repaired I know now who is going to do it.. and it has nothing to do with price.. it has to do with integrity.. 1 of these 2 guys has it.. I think the other 1 has prolly lost more than me just because of his actions in this thread.. Real Shelby if i were you I would just say thats all i have to say about that.. svman has dug his own hole imho

I know who's going to modify my basket when I get to a point when I can do without my bike for a week. Terry is the real deal and conducts himself in a manor which someone should.

Terry I promise I'll get my basket to you here in the near future. I just haven't been able to do without my motorcycle right now.

Eric

This is getting absurd!

Why can't you guys just agree that BOTH your fixes work and you BOTH have satisfied customers?

Let the bickering go! It's beneath both of you!

I am all for that! I have tried to ignore his posts. At the direction of the Moderators here I tried a personal contact. It was worse than what is posted!

Am I supposed to ignore absolutely false statements about me and my project? I try to post only facts that are intended to clear up what he writes. I never write that his baskets are not good. All I want ( and this is what I asked him to do in pm's ) is for him to not post negative comments. He is welcome to post that he builds the "greatest basket in the world" if that suits him. Just don't knock my work and others. If ours develop problems, the owners will let everyone know about it.

Reason only works when both men are reasonable. So far, I haven't seen a single instance where Realshelby has attacked svman's work or crapped in his threads.

This is a one-sided affair. The problem isn't two men bickering, it's one man stirring up trouble.
