Thanks for the suggestion 2mstone. I have not. I really have not done anything except ride the Vee since I bought it. I'll add throttle cable slack to my list of things to do when I check the TPS. I have the shop manual and I bet the procedure and specs for throttle cable slack are included there.

Just ran the Vee for the first time through its full tank of gas. Got 322kms (200miles) out of it. Fillup took 19 litres so roughly 3 litres left in tank.

This was mainly highway at speeds topping out around 140-150kms (85mph? approx) for good long stretches.

I figure if I can get 200miles running like that, then if I stay at posted speeds then I'll get much better mileage.

Key words - IF I KEEP AT POSTED SPEEDS!!!!

If you can't find the adjustment instructions let me know and I'll look them up in my manual. I do remember it is very easy to do.

I've never bothered to figure out our Wee's mpg either. I just know I fill it up every other time I fill up the Vee. Both bikes go plenty long on a full tank and I'm usually ready for the break when time for a fill up.
