Default Secondaries removed?

When you guys have stated "removed secondaries". What are you referring to? Exhaust, intake, throttle bodies???

I gutted my stock exhaust and welded up my own stainless ends / inserts. Sounds great. Ordered a power commander five and a K&N from SV racing. Could use a good map for the open exhaust, open intake set up and hopefully kill the famous 2500 RPM back fire BS

The secondaries refers to the upper butterflies in the throttle bodies.

just Applied the Jett Map to my "06 DL1000 with K&N and 2 Bro's

We shall see how bad the Fuel economy drops. I was running the 311-007 and getting 40MPG.

I'm In OD alot.

the 311-007 just didn't seem as smooth as it could be. If the Jett doesn't meet my needs I will try the OMG map. I can se I'm going to have my laptop in the top box for the next few hundred miles.

Default help with the maps

I cannot get any of these maps to unload, load, un zip or what ever they are supposed to do, winzip hit extract and it indictes "no file to unzip"
save a map to desktop and I get a "file corrupted message"...

I have had no trouble using the PCIII maps but really want to try out some of the ones you guys have set up.

so how do you get .zip files to open?

Any guidance would be appreciated.
Yes sometimes computers stymie me....

Rode 179 miles since the Jett map upload.

Filled tank calculated 41.59 mpg. Not accounting for speedo miscalibration. That's actually a slight increase.

I'm sure I'm imagining it but the exhaust seams tamer and a bit quiet compared to the 311-007.

I own a 2012 Adventure with same problems, does anybody have info on newer models? All I am seeing is fixes for older bikes. 02-06.

WOW. first time tinkering w/ a PC and tuning a bike... was super easy.

went from a stock 06 map (or some other garbage) to the standard fuel moto maps. noticeable improvement on my commute, especially in the 3-4k rpm range.

Chefs custom (omg) map greatly improved my low rpm performance. Now the only thing farting is me. Can't believe I waited so long to try a different map.

Thanks
I agree, I also own a 2012 Adventure and just got it back from being serviced to fix the hiccup problem, put in the Iridium plugs and somehow made "adjustments" to the fuel mapping. Since getting the bike back I have refueled 3 times, 1st 2 tanks got 36mpg, down from 46mpg, now the 3rd tank somehow got 27mpg!!! Something is def wrong here and I need help deciding what to buy fuel management wise and what numbers to use to get back to something respectable mpg wise without compromising performance back to where it was when I bought the bike.
Thanks for any help. I do not have the ability to do this myself so whatever I buy I will be paying somebody to do and would like to get it close to right the 1st time.

You do realize that you quoted yourself??

Get a PC-V from Fuelmoto. I'm getting close to 40 mpg without the hiccups.
Not saying that it has the best map but I'm happy with it plus I can get a different map from them if I add aftermarket cans.
