I was riding a Gold Wing accompanied by a Red and white (with Blue fenders) Honda CBR 600 RR). Saw several Stoms and only managed to jot down a few:

On July 1st a Red (Burgandy?) Stom in on the Trans Canada near Banff around 1:30, a Grey one further West around 3:45. On the 4th I saw a yellow one riding through Jasper around noon and a Grey one on the Icefields Parkway aroudn 3:45.

When I saw a Strom coming I waved as always but usually gave a "V".

You guys have incredible riding roads out there! The people in BC were the nicest people I ever met! (Except one asshole the had a gas station on highway 5 northbound, probably a few hours south of Valemount.) I could see moving out there from Southern Ontario in the future.

..Tom
Tom I was on the road with My wife for the last 2 weeks in and around the areas in BC you mentioned, sorry I missed you, although I did see a lot of groups with V's in them and always gave the V wave, did I see you? your group sounds familiar.... I would have been on a Burgandy K9 loaded down with gear... either alone or 2 up depending on the day...

I was in and around Cache Creek 70 Mile House, Jasper, Hinton AB, then RevelStoke, Naksup, Castlegar, Manning park, then back up to Lilloet, Kamloops Vernon Kelowna...etc....

Year-round riding in the lower mainland and Vancouver Island if you don't mind some rain, but the best rides are in the southern interior in my opinion.

I live in Surrey and work In Abbey.... we should cover some territory sometime....

If it was a black Wee then it was probably a guy named Justin. Works at Green Diamond outside Kentville. New one just this past spring. He did join here but haven't seen any posts by him. Probably lurking.

I have his 'old' Wee. I think Justin may have sold his black 2012 also.

Yup, Justin is one of my riding buddies. He goes through bikes like they're on fire. He sold the Black 2012 and is now riding a grey Triumph Tiger 1050 very nice bike too. The black strom went to another riding buddy Rob who is also in the Annapolis Valley. We all just got back on sunday from a 6000 km trip to the Dragons tail.

Sidenote: No issues whatsoever from either the black wee or mine.

For me this bike's a keeper

Hey Trailslapper, were you one of the riders who went to the States with Justin when he had the '06 Wee? It's a great bike! I ended up buying the top box from his 2012 Wee.

No, timing didn't work for me on that particular ride. I ended up doing the exact same ride about 3 weeks after they did. I went with the guy that looks like a convict on the Veradero in the above pic.

I actually rode your bike once, and as a matter of fact it was what inspired me buy the bike I have now. The usable Vtwin low-mid grunt, smooth engine, weirdly low buck but OK suspension, and probably the best transmission of any bike I've ever owned had me sold on it.

I too was once like Justin and have owned a lot of great bikes. Everything from a 08 Concours to a Versys to a Z1000 to a GSXR to a 1150GS but I will keep my G-Strom for a very long time.

Very cool. If you see Justin tell him I said hi and the bike is working great. Maybe catch you on the road one day. I just did a run to Cape John last weekend to visit and ride with some friends. Great times.
