Pretty much, nor a Leatherman. You have to have a reason to have it on your person or in your bag. Knives are used more often in crime as we aren't allowed guns, either. Only the real crims are allowed guns.

When I was still working, I carried the penknife (in a sheath) in my bag. I needed it to peel my oranges......

Flick knives are illegal. They come under the Prohibited Weapons Act:

My daily carry is a Colt 1911e originally purchased in 1992 and carried almost everyday since. My backup carry is a S&W model 60 in .357.

A Benchmade griptilian is my tank bag resident and a microtech ultratech II is my EDC knife.

How do you cut your steak? Prepare your food?

So when is the uprising?

Seriously.

Do they realize that people were hurting each other when we only knew of rocks and sticks?

Slingshots?
Really?

Michael F*&^%ng Bloomberg, believes that the gun killed the people in the movie theater in Colorado.

When I heard about the incident I commented to my wife that the idiots would start blaming the gun...and that with no guns allowed by the inhabitants of the Peoples Republic of China that they went on slashing sprees with knives.

I can't remember from my history studies, and more recent updates... Are you allowed to vote there?

Unlike the USA, we have to vote. If we don't, we risk a fine (unless one has a very good reason why one couldn't vote). Being able to vote doesn't mean a thing, we can change a govt. but that won't change the laws. We don't have a Bill of Rights and we can't put up a Proposition.

Lobbying a representative won't do anything, the scumbags all vote along Party lines.

Then the media has the stupid populace convinced that we are safer without guns and knives.

I'm not a gun person. The last time I had one even in my hands just to hold was nearly 50 years ago (it was a WW2 Luger).

We aren't even talking guns any more...

They've taken away your ability to carry a pocket knife.
They won't allow you to have a sling shot.
The list of cannot haves is quite impressive and OPPRESSIVE.

It seems that the government of Australia is preparing its population to be enslaved and have made illegal, most all ways to do anything to prevent it.

Is it really that peaceful there that no one gets beat up, stabbed, thumped over the head, robbed, murdered, raped, etc.?

I guess if having little, to no, means to protect yourself has eradicated ALL violent crime, then there is an argument for it.
If all violent crime has not been removed from society then something has gone wrong.
You mention that only the bad guys have guns. It sounds like something has gone wrong...

Default brooms

I carry a Kershaw Jacknife so can cut string and and small branches. I have no need of a gun bcause I live in a country were I can safely travel wherever I chose, whenever I chose. There may be pockets of places and people to stay away from, but when I am camping... most if not all of the people there are there to camp or party, not attack those around them! If we could just convince the coons to stay out of the coolers???? (racoons)
Really? Guns? I'm sorry.

Old thread, but I don't see anything that prohibits pocket knives nor a leatherman in the provided link.

Maybe not, but that won't stop one being arrested for carrying an offensive weapon - unless one has a very good reason to carry.
