Maybe it's changed for youse guys. My air filter was a repository for every bug that happened along before I screened in the intake.
And afaik the Glee uses the same air intake and frame so unless the aerodynamics are vastly different or Suzuki are supplying the bikes with inbuilt insect repellent I can't see why they would be any different.
Many of the bugs seem to enter when the bike is stationary if it's parked in outdoor locations.
If the OP doesn't consider it's worth doing that's fine it's his bike.

These x ring chains are good things.
I was a bit of a fanatic at cleaning/lubing chains untill the novelty wore off on the KLR.Heaps of dirt and dust stuck to the lube when doing outback trips & trying to clean it was a PITA.Now I do nothing but a bit of a spray on the long tar runs and clean when I get home.
Most trips have been 2-5,000km,chain & rear sprocket well over 25,000km and looking good(front was changed ?)
All about the same as the previous set when I was a cleaning nut

Was strange that I had 2 nozzles off the tank and 3 hose ends so I hope they are on the right way as they weren't even connected in the first place.

I was surprised by how clean the filter on Gotawees bike was, as can be seen it is clean even after our dirt weekend at the back of kyogle.
Unlike my vee which the air is directed straight into the air box from under the
Fairing the glee is tucked in behind the frame. Are all wee's like this?
I rode the same route and my aircleaner was not pretty.

i can report dead bugs do get in there.... i put a aluminum fly screen, when i pull it apart a few years back.

Sir,
under no circumstance,none,if I were to trade up to the later model would I refer to my bike as a Glee,that just doesn't fit with the Aussie vernacular for a blokes bike.
