Hi All,
On our way back to Denman after Urbenville we will have a stop over at Ebor Hotel on Sunday night, can anyone give me a road report on the Clarence Way from the Bruxner Hwy to Grafton. cheers DK |

That'll be the way i'll be heading up there Darren, so i'll proably go the same way back due to time constraints. I'll then spend the night with parents.
Give the Copmanhurst police stn a call about road conditions but think it'll be ok. Cheers Wobbly boot |

It was O.K. last time I went through but that was months ago.
Just watch out near Grafton, they 'maintain' the road by just dumping tar and spreading chip on top. It's a bit .... slippery. Pete |

Just spoke with the Police from Grafton and the guy I spoke with is a motorcyclist as well and knows the Clarence road pretty well.
He told me it's all good..made especially for a V-strom with a few graded gravel sections thrown in.He said it was a pretty good ride. Anyway as I said, I'll be going up to Urbenville that way from Grafton and maybe on some back ways from the Clarence way eventually joins onto the Summerland Way on the way back to Grafton where I'll spend another night or two with the Oldies then off to Newcastle. Darren, if you come back heading South, you've got 2 choices once you get past Copmanhurst...either out through Whitemans Creek or the Copmanhurst Road...I prefer the Copmanhurst road. Anyway we'll chat about that at the Urbenville do.....we may ride that together if you'd like. Cheers wobbly_boot Dave |

Hard packed dirt and bitumen, all good for a Strom even with limited experience.

![]() I'd say roughly about 40% bitumen and 60% dirt between Copmanhurst turn off at Gwyder hwy and the Bruxner near Tabulam. Darren, Cindy and I came back via Bruxner Road and Casino due to the need to find good fuel on a Sunday Morning. The Bruxner is quite a nice ride west of Casino with nice bends and scenery....very enjoyable. Trip from Casino to Grafton was relatively quick...still a good road. Darren..how did you both enjoy Nymboida and Ebor? Cheers wobbly_boot Dave |

Hi Dave,
The run to Ebor was terrific, the road is not in bad nick, with a few big holes to watch out for, lots of bends and no traffic or wildlife. We got about 20 mins from Ebor, the sky went green and we got smashed, got to the pub ordered a schooner and watched the light show, then a hot shower done the trick. The road from Ebor to Armidale was probably the road for the weekend, fast and flowing corners and in top nick, made up for the over policed and boring run from Tamworth to Denman. All in All a top weekend. cheers Darren |
