This is the end of my hijack. Thanks for putting up with me al71 and again, sorry...

Thanks to all for the replies and input. Seems that other than the warmer weather, along with the activities that the warmer weather allows, your Christmas isn't much different than ours. I do, however, keep having a visions in my head of Santa on water skis being pulled by 8 wave runners...

In the end we all decided to do something new for all of us. We will be heading to Las Vegas, Nevada for Christmas (seems that Chevy Chase should be making a cameo appearance at some point). Yeah, that is sort of a haven of sin and vice, though I don't gamble and rarely drink. There are plenty of family-friendly activities and dirt-cheap hotel rooms. We will be staying at the Luxor Hotel and Casino:

Should be interesting. If I see Chevy Chase I will get pictures...

Thanks,

G26

Update: Christmas went well. My younger kids were amused by the different language you seem to speak while claiming to speak English. Our guest had a good time as far as I can tell. I was hoping to find some vegemite and give that a try while she was here, but that will have to wait until later.

I don't know if it was just her that was so polite or if that's just the way people in Mackay are, but it was a joy to have her along for the holiday.

Sent from my Tricorder.
