Wish I could join in but I can't this weekend.
You mentioned the traffic between Ringwood and Lilydale ... I avoid that route when I can. Have you considered Eltham - Kangaroo Ground - Yarra Glen - Healsville as an alternate route? I ride around this area and up to Eildon, Yea, Marysville etc quite frequently and look forward to perhaps joinjng in on a future ride. Have to agree with Saturn 5 .... starting around 7 or earlier is worth considering ... in my opinion less traffic then makes for a more enjoyable ride? |

Found three Wee Stroms at the Plaza - two in the car park and one near an entrance.
One was mine, but Ahmett, Perseverance and I had a coffee before the other two headed off for a ride and I went back home to finish the washing. The Racecourse Foyer (near the SuperCheap store, opposite the first pedestrian crossing) is a good rendezvous point and there's plenty of room for bikes. Ahmett's Wee Strom got some admiring glances and good comments (his had been washed!). Doug

It was a little late to be heading off, but it was still a great day, more of a meet and greet.
After leaving Douggie, Ahmett and I took a short ride. Bacchus Marsh, Blackwood, Trentham, Woodend, Macedon and up to the cross, then back through Gisborne to home. Should have taken an extra layer as its always a few degrees cooler out that way.Lots of gentle winding corners threw the forests and a few tighter ones up the mountain. Only stopped a couple of times, once to snap this shot. ![]() You can guess which one is mine. |
