Welcome to all the new strom owners.
You will love the bike and will always be thinking of the next big ride to take, I know I do since becoming a strom owner. |

Hi guys. New to the forum, and the Strom family. I just picked up a 3rd hand 2005 Wee Strom with 36000 kms on it for $4600.
I've only had my open bike license for about 3 months. My LAMS was a CF Moto 150 cc that was an utterly brilliant learner bike. I'm in GOsford, and went to Canberra and back, and Tamworth and back on the CF Moto, and I'm looking forward to doing those trips on a decent bike. I've had one 'oh shit' moment. Wrote my last bike off after hitting old painted over lines on a wet greasy road in the wet about 4 months ago. Scariest moment of my life.

I've posted in a few places so far, but thought I should say Hi officially.
I'm Toby; have been riding various bikes for quite a while now; since 1996 I think I've been thru a Yamaha RD250, Suzuki SR125, Honda NT400 Bros, Kawasaki SR550, Honda CB600 Hornet, Suzuki SV650S, Yamaha XJR1300, Honda VFR800 and now of course the V-Strom DL650. Like some other people here, I've been into the sports bikes, but now looking for rides where I can enjoy the scenery and stop to take photos here and there, and not feel knackered after a couple of hours of riding. So far the v-strom is suiting me well - have really enjoyed the first few big rides, and am looking forward to more over summer. |
