Howdi guys I'm in Swaziland southern Africa. My
Bike lives most it's life on the dirt road. I bought soft sadle bags as the cost of a box type was just stupid over here. So I bought my bags and sat looking at a frame. I Build a very basic frame which conveniently fits to the pillion foot rests and ties in behind the seat with a piece of flat bar. Was east to do an very cheap. I also fond that when I lay in the dirt or sand the soft Bags just get but mucky. I also found a piece of toilet waste pipe I cut it to length of the exhaust with end stoppers on and it fits perfect to the left side of my 650 where there would be an exhaust on te 1000 I fit my tent into that all tucked away under the bags. I also fitted Suzuki crash bars and belly pan. A must for off road use with the oil filter positioned in the perfect position rod Removal. If you a roadie. But off road aaah no good without the guard. Hope you have heaps of fun in the bush on the dirt. Ride safe with rubber side down guys. Sean in Africa. |
