Default East to West - The Great Australian Ride send off

So redhot has left with the pack of 12 riders competing in this years fun raiser across Australia. They left on Saturday morning. His Strom looked great and he was pretty pleased as he had raised the most funds at the start stage! Well done and a thanks to Red Neddy for making a last minute online donation to get him in the lead. He had good support from this site.

The black beast of redhot is ready to roll

Cape Byron was absolutely beautiful for an early morning send off. Red Neddy arranged for us to ride as part of the support riders to Tenterfield along with a mate on a Ducati. Black Widow came along to the send off and Tweed-Strom was also in the support group. 4 Stroms in amongst at least 40 bikes travelling to Tenterfield. It was excellent weather! And a good cause too, supporting SIDS.

We met up with 2 more Stroms, Brettstrom1 at Casino and then Sandman61 at Killarney. We had a great night at Killarney pub, live music, mixed grills, cold beer, what else would we need.....thanks for booking the Killarney caravan park cabin Sandman61, that was great value (and warm) - and the bikes had a carport to keep the frost off.

Sunday we took a ride out around Lake Moogerah....thats worth a look. The run up through Queen Mary Falls is always great.

A little look at Boonah airfield on the way past...Red Neddy (Ken) and Sandman61 (Chris) chat to a pilot before he took off. Its nice to watch planes like this in action.

Oops! Mark Victor on the '09 Suzuki Boulevard C50 Boulevard has been down twice apparently. Mark is ok but limping home.

This is off the official website. What a bummer...at least he is OK and gave it a shot.

Good luck to the others and especially the Strom.
