Default Wall to Wall Ride 2012

Just a little curious as to seeing if there are any interested in the Wall to Wall ride in September 2012 that coincides with Police Memorial day. It would be at least a 4 or 5 day run to the ACT & back. I appreciate the fact that given there may be some with negative contacts experienced with police there may be little or no interest, so feel free to PM me if you do. Hopefully I have not breached any etiquette issues.

Thumbs up

From memory this ride gets posted up here every year Rob.

It is supported by those who can make it from here on an ad-hock basis.

A good ride to do.

I've seen no animosity towards police on the Australian section of the forum and really can't recall anything from the overall posts across the forum as a whole [but I don't read it all].

Thanks for posting up a reminder for it again.

Maybe add a link if there is an official registration point on a website for it. [as long as the Mods. here approve- they will remove it if it infringes on the "rules"]

Hmm, sounds interesting. In over 45 years of being licenced, I've never had a problem with the police so I'm OK with it. Besides, some of the blokes I know on the Land Rover forum are ex- and serving coppers, including some HWP guys and I get on well with them (yes, I've even had coffee with some of them).

That's great to hear. From my limited time here everyone seems to be very decent people and I didn't think it would be an issue but I felt I had to throw that caveat out there. As for the link, sadly my IT skills are limited and I can't throw up a link but It is Wall to Wall 2012. I will keep an eye out.

It's unlikely I'll be attending as I'm scheduled for shoulder surgery just before the event.

Thanks for putting that link up. Good luck with the surgery though, certainly a painful procedure.

Thanks. I had the other shoulder done a couple of years ago. Not looking forward to it.

Sadly a mate of mine had to have both done at the same time due to a work incident some time back. He reckons the real pain came when he went number 2's after the op and was unable to complete the "paperwork" by himself if you get my drift. Needless to say his missus was far from happy for the following six or so weeks...
