Hi From The Sunny Coast

Hi everyone. I picked up a 2012 650 last week. I bought the Strom to have a look around Oz and explore some of the local dirt roads. I have come from a Sports bike background, I got a bit disillusioned with the road riding thing as there are no opportunities to explore the limits of their performance, well not without licence loss anyway! Only got 400k's on the Strom but really enjoyed it. Fitted a B&B bash plate (not keen on the front mount though, need to do something) and hand guards. Crash bars are on back order.

No doubt I'll be asking dumb questions

Look forward to meeting up for a ride with some of you in the future.

Hi and welcome Richb.
Congrats on the new Strom great bikes as you will find out, anything you need to know is all here on the forum. Ive got a 2011 wee had for 11 months and just turned over 11700 ks.
Seems like more people are buying stroms in QLD, always new members popping up and Im always seeing a few out and about on rides.

Cheers Paul

Hello Richb, I have a 2012 650 with a B&B bashplate also and got rid of the front mount as soon as I could By mounting it to the front of the SWmotec crash bars that I fitted. I would be keen for a ride sometime as I only live at kilcoy and there are some nice rides around here that I never get sick of.
Cheers

Sounds good for a ride I was thinking of trying to mount the B&B to the crash bars when they come, I ordered Suzuki ones though. Do you have any pictures of your mod?

Cheers
