Default Grip puppies

Not sure if I am just slow, but I have been lusting after some grip puppies for a long time, and could never locate a local dealer. Finally found Andy Strapz who stocks them and ordered some, and then also just saw Mottorradgarage had them. Ordered them for both my Wee and GSX 1250FA, will let you know if they are as good as the guys is the US claim.

Oh, they are not as cheap as what they pay in the US at $29, but whatever, I have been lusting over these for quite some time, and I am now used to paying more for everything.

You can do the same thing with oversized bicycle foam grips for a fraction of the price. There was somebody here who posted a thread about at some time ago.

Or you can make your own.
1m length of 25mm ID black pipe insulation from Bunnings $3.80. Cut 2 pieces 105mm long. Then to get the right thickness I put them on some PVC pipe & used a belt sander upside down to shape them.
Wet the gip & gently slide them on as they are fragile.
Work great & very comfortable!

+1 +2 +3 nearly impossible to contact, never returned intnl calls, took money for items not in stock without any notification that that would delay the delivery of the entire order but kept it on the books and money in their tills, ended up cancelling order and eventually got money back. Unless you can ride into this shop in person avoid dealing with then from Oz, you will waste your time and increase your phone bill !!!!!

Amotostuff have grip covers for $13 - they go on very easily using hair spray as a lube and are rock solid once on. It feels sooo much better than the standard skinny grips

In the latest edition of ARR, there was an article on Grip Puppies in the Whatz New section. Priced at $29 a pair from Andy Strapz.
