I'll probably fly/freight the bike to Launceston and fly down. Save the tyres for a week on Tassie and a leisurely ride home, and annoy Mr Farkles and Choccoloco on the way.

I propose that Saturday 16th March 2013 be put aside as the date for the dinner (if the gathering is in Tasmania). This will give those that have to plan plenty of time to make the necessary arrangements and get their leave approved, it will also allow me to make firm arrangements regarding a venue for those attending, (either a phone box in Deloraine or something a bit bigger!!)
The previous Monday is a public holiday in Vic and TAS.

I am flexible with dates but if no one has any significant objections let's run with the 16th.
