6 riders so far, Someone will have to sleep on one of the top bunks, as there are only 5 bunk beds. I think the youngest rider should have the top bunk all in favor. Yes the votes are in, It's Unamoiuous.

The youngest rider has the choice of one of the top bunks, lucky bugger.

Anyhow counting the days.

Cheers

Default Update on who is coming

Ok just been informed this morning that Mitch from Brisbane has withdrawn, something to do with he doesn't want to sleep on the top bunk. So it is back to 5 Riders.

The top bunk rule still stands in case we have a late entrant.

Cheers

By gee that sounds a good trip Bret,I did my apprenticeship with the old Electricity Commission of NSW,working out of Tamworth in the 70's and have stayed or worked in the towns mentioned--a nostalgia trip would be great some time--the roads were black or red back then and after 2mm of moisture the black was out--we pulled some vans off that black road.

Yes if time and money weren't an issue I would be riding roads out there and all over all year round if I could. I am also looking at a another trip in about 12 or so months a bit further out and for a longer period, I like the planning stages it keeps me grounded and focused and gives me a bit of a balance in life instead of just working and the drudge of the everyday.

We hope to get some great photo's throughout the trip.

Cheers

Default Camping

Hey boys im mega keen on doing 1 -2 nights camping, I just bought a new tent and stretcher yesterday. I even set it up in the lounge room to see how it goes, its awesome. I also bought an AIDE Adventurer First Aid kit, which is big enough for a small group of people. So if anyone gets hurt, hopefully we will be able to patch ourselves up. Is anyone taking a gps tracker or similar device??? I have a Strike road gps plus a Uniden UHF for comms on my bike. I was thinking i might leave my Trax top box off and just use the side panniers. Surely I can fit enough gear in them alone for 4 days. Anyone got any idea of total k's we will covering or what/what not to pack???? Always good to hear other ideas.

Cheers,

Stu

But I still wet the bed terribly.

So whoever is on the bottom is waking up wet.

Just sayin.

Stu I estimated for me about 1500kms, without any side deviations, see whats is happening the second and third night we might camp, I think everyone is taking a swag or tent in case. Go with the flow I am happy to camp after 1st night,. I dont have the GPS tracker, but have a first aid kit, if you want to bring the uhf that will be good, I have a couple of hand helds that are good for about 5kms on flat ground. I think th eplan is to cruise at a leisurley pace the second day to lightning ridge and have a good look around and stay there the night, I dont think we have any hard and fast plans after the first night. Dont forget to pack the camera. Dont forget to let me know what your plans are for thursday night. Cheers.
