That would give you a slog of about 1,142km to get there Leith.

We have been down that track Don. It's illegal at least in NSW and Vic. You could be leaving whoever's details are on the forum open to some large fines. |

I can't see how this really differs from, say, Today Tonight announcing at the end of a story: "For more details on this story visit our website at ...." I certainly don't want to cause anybody the prospect of legal action or fines but surely a flyer announcing a forthcoming event can't be illegal? I'd be surprised if this were the case in Qld. Do you know on what grounds it is illegal in the (obviously far more conservative ) southern states? Almost every time I go to the shops I have something advertising house cleaning or car servicing or a local fete stuck under my windscreen wiper. And on a topical note, how about all the flyers announcing the Rockabilly Festival at Bright a couple of weekends ago? Still if it goes against the forum rules I could leave my mobile number instead -- or am I on the wrong track here? Is it the actual placing of the piece of paper on somebody'e bike? If so there are a lot of law breakers in Qld. Sorry, I'm confused.

It's nothing to do with forum rules.
It's straight out illegal in NSW and Victoria to leave material on car windscreens (and by extension motorcycles). The subject is not relevant it's that fact that you are leaving an unsolicited advertisment on somebodies vehicle. The problem is that people get them and throw them on the ground and they become a litter issue. The laws may be different in Qld but just don't try it down south. |

Dates locked in, and booking accomodation tomorrow!
Planning well ahead on this one, to make it part of a little touring trip, that way we can take our time and just cruise up. DL + Snooky
