DL650 Recall stator issue in Australia

Not entirely sure if this will affect Australian models, was sent to me, finer print says Suzuki Motor of America inc, but dunno where our Australian models originated from?
Cant seem to find a link to VIN numbers affected.

Just info, maybe someone can expand?

Anyone know if a "dirty" stator/regulator output can effect the reliability of other electrical components?

Most charging problems result in reduced voltage until it gets to the point the engine won't run. That won't bother other components. A regulator that allows voltages to exceed 14.8V can cause damage to other components, but that is extremely rare and not part of the recall.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. 2012 DL650A didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014+ DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012+ DL650s

Thanks for that, guess I'll await the letter in mail (original owner) cant say I'm ever keen on them (dealers) putting spanners near my bikes, they never have as much care as when you do your own, often resulting in ugly spanner / driver rash on bolt heads etc..

I had a look on the Australian Suzuki website at recalls and I didn't see the DL named on their list.
Has anyone got a good list of current recalls?
Thanks

I've received a response from Suzuki, acknowledging the recall and stating that all owners whose bike needs a recall will be contacted by mail.

Make sure your address details are up to date with Suzuki peeps!
