A couple of weeks ago a few mates and I headed down to the Fish Holes rally at Portland in South West Victoria. A fantastic rally, highly recommended.

Mount Gambier is an awesome place. The caves around that area are incredible. I camped in my car at the Blue Lake whilst on a road trip a few years back. It was so nice to wake in the morning and walk around the lake.

What are the cords going from your disc rotors on to the handlebars in the cabin pic? Some sort of anti theft device?

Bottom of the Oxley highway Long Flat NSW.

Only 600 odd kilometres from home, another 1100 odd to get home, all done in 49 hours. With plenty of time to sleep, plenty of socialising, and plenty of photo stops.

Yep Mr Aus, disc lock, The cord is mainly to remind you to take it off before you head of on a ride. I realise that a lot of you guys that use these lock probably dont need to use the cord, but I am female, lol

Ah. I was wondering how the cord could possibly work the lock somehow. Had me baffled it did!

Don't worry. Us men are not perfect either. I reckon that if I had one of those locks without the cord, the chances of me forgetting about it would be fairly high!

I wouldn't use a disc lock without one. Have you ever seen what happens the day that you forget the lock is there? It's nasty. (no I am not speaking from any experience other than as an onlooker)
