My support for NRL teams is inversely proportionate to their distance from Sydney, with a Qld fluxion.

Ie. Its Broncos, Cowboys, Titans, Melbourne, Canberra, Auckland, Penrith, and after that dont give a crap, cept Manly is definitely on the bottom of the list. Manly could play the second world war nazi party and I would be barracking for the squareheads. They could play the Rebels OMCG and I would barrack for the Rebs. They could play Islamic State and you guessed it I would be screaming for the death cult.

My idea of a successful game between Manly and Easts is a nil all draw where they both beat the hell out of each other and they are all suspended for a year.

Yeah poor old Manly and Collingwood cop it don't they? ... not without good reason, mind!

Anyway come Thursday on a typically balmy sunny winter's morning the birds will be singing, the flowers will be blooming, and the sound of Fourex Gold stubby tops popping will be heard throughout the fair land north of the Tweed when the Origin trophy is returned from the dark lands to the south to its true ancestral home in Godzone.

The faithful will journey in their maroon robes from the fortress in Caxton St down to the Cauldron and gather reverently around the statue of King Wally, there to pay homage to our seventeen heroic warriors and to consign the appalling memories of the past twelve months to history. Peace and contentment will once again reign throughout the land.

Why don't you tell what you think of manly Ozmultis :green_lol: I mainly agree, but I would put broncos down the bottom of the barrel with manly :yikes:
Donunder thanks for reminding Rabbitoh of the score, I was suitably impressed with the Mighty Tigers :hurray:
But Don you are delusional about the trophy going any where near your state :fineprint: at least it will go to game 3

Nice little thread. The Tigers really did a number on the rabbits, but it is early days. I had to laugh at Hasler whinging about having 5 players out for the Dogs and blaming that for the loss. In comparison the Broncs had just as many out recently and smashed their opposition. Hmm...maybe it's the coach. Even Manly supporters hate Manly at the moment.

It's good fun.....a great season ahead, starting with the Qld win in 2 sleeps time.

ending it with Brisbane v Townsville Grand Final

I support 3 teams, the Rabbits, the Dogs and whoever is playing against Manly :green_lol:

Well ... that didn't go according to the script.
I'm not going to whinge about the dubious decisions; others more qualified than I am have already made their feelings clear on the standard of refereeing in what should have been a terrific game.
Let's see what happens at Suncorp on July 8.

Yep, the drug cheats team had a win, good on him, of course he needed drugs to get through that game as well

Not original, just accurate - Still he will never win a premiership so that is something

Life's too short to be so bitter. I hope things improve in your world soon Andrew, but not on the 8th....... tee-hee

PS I was even cheering for the Broncs today, but don't tell Don

And they did it again Don...

As quoted, well done Broncs for this week as well. What will happen if it is a Cowboys (Nth Qld) v Broncs (Brissie) grand final.....surely you have it in Sydney.

Actually, I've never understood why anyone watches any sport.
There's probably heaps of things you don't understand, most of us don't understand you :laugh2:

Blues.................... 2 in a row and more to come :grin2:

Fortunately, I didn't ask the question. >:)

I didn't play sport or do PE at high school. I much preferred to pick up rubbish around the school or do extra classes. Usually, though, I snuck off home.

Surprise...surprise....surprise, Robbie's out so we only win by about 8 points

Go the BLUES!!!

Order has been restored.

I read this morning that a radio telescope in Western Australia had received a radio signal from a distant galaxy that had been transmitted before our own solar system came into being. This signal had apparently begun its journey five billion years ago. I thought that was enough of a mind-blower for one day but then I watched the game tonight -- another performance of cosmic proportions. I'm now watching the replay on Fox and guess what? It's even better the second time around!

Absolutely awesome!

What a game to finish on.....amazing result, who would have thought. A team of champions ruled tonight. However, the Blues team still has a near future success likely, as a young team and the fact that some legendary Qlder's will be retiring over the next few years.

The atmosphere in Brissy during the day was pretty special pre-game. We love our footy. Watching sport - I guess it comes from our Roman heritage, Colosseum style.

At one stage Aussie cricketers had more wickets than the Blues had points!
