    Mr. Desmond,

I own a 2004 Suzuki DL-650 V-Strom and am currently rebuilding the fork assembly due to a chronic seal leak. I was planning on continuing to use the stock springs but my V-Strom now has 42,000 miles on it and I am wondering if now would be a good time to replace the springs and what exactly to replace them with. The Sonic Springs come highly recommended so I thought I would ask this question here. My riding style is about 90% on road 10% off road, with a significant amount of in-town miles though I try for as many winding back roads as I can find. Thank you for your help.

    Sincerely,
    Peter Seymour

    Brian,

Sorry I didn't see this earlier, we were racing in Texas this weekend. Really sorry to hear about the crash, that sucks. :( You OK??

    The forks are 43mm.

Rich, how you doing? I am the guy that was on the strom about a year ago and met you at hallet while I was spectating. I have a question, I wrecked my big Vee and I am trying to determine what size of fork is on my '02 1000 and figured you would know? I am purchasing a light kit and going naked since my flarings are busted up. The company has brackets that fit 37mm to 54mm seems like I read somewhere v-stroms have 43mm but I don't know. Hope all is well with you and maybe I will see you up at hallet sometime.

    thanks
