I like the concept of being able to take off my luggage racks when they are not needed. So how many of you, that own and use the SW-Motech Quick-Lock sideracks, worry about them when you park for lunch, or shopping or what ever. I have seen the you tube video and these things come off fast
When I added luggage to my Strom I already had a set of Hepco&Becker juniors so the choice was down to the racks. Hepco&Becker uses quick release as well with the SW-Motech racks if I ever wanted to change to say Givi bags. Just get the appropriate adapters no need to replace the whole mount. I debated on the need for locks or the bolt kit. I choose to use the quick release. I like the bolt kit but I think its kind of pricey for what it is. I've never had anything stolen off my bike half the time I don't lock my bags of course I usually don't leave things out in sight pack it in the bags if I can. Truth is most people don't mess with motorcycles. The ones that do steal the whole bike and that's the scum bags we need to be concerned about. I was worried about the holding power of the Dzus fasteners off road but so far they've held up to some pretty ruff roads.
