Yes it is more like lugging, not ka chunk like something is falling apart, just kinda pops like a miss and since this is my first V engine, rest have been BMW, it almost seems like every gear lugs the engine. Trying to keep it under 4500 rpms like the manual says for the 1st 500 miles but this bike obviously likes and NEEDS to be run. I can feel the power. It just isn't my usual mode to go thru my neighborhood on a dead end street doing 4000rpms in 2nd gear to keep the engine from popping. Sounds like the emissions is the problem so hopefully after break-in this can be an inexpensive fix? Any chance my dealer will be able to tweak anything at 1st service? Other than this, the bike is getting lots of positive feedback so far. Added the MadStad mount and helps a lot with bad air but will probably go with the taller GIVI shield. Still not as smooth as I'm used to. Thanks for all info.
