Congrats on the SS1000. I completed the SS1600k from Abbotsford, BC to Calgary Alberta and back last June. Hit rain, hail, road construction, fog but no wildlife and very little traffic. I actually finished with a little over 1100 miles in 23 1/2 hours. Could have easily made the 1500 if it wasn't for road construction. I enjoyed the challenge. My wife and I went down the coast a couple of years ago and across to Vegas. They told us it was 150F when we arrived at the Excalibur. That was enough for my wife - we headed home after that but still put on nearly 4000 miles. Hoping to do the Three Flag challenge next month, but by myself. That should pretty much satisfy me for the marathons.
