To be clear, we're talking about my wife here. She once felt uncomfortable on a XT225 on the dirt. Yes, I know that may sound redicoulous, but this is also her:
Give her the right bike and she's pretty damn good. Put her on a bike that "technically can" do it and it's a little more iffy. She's not going to like it. The Tenere is so good off pavement that I have a lot of confidence she'll be fine on that.
So what's the explanation for the XT225? I'm going to say several years off bikes, then got used to riding her S50 cruiser, and forgot what it was like to slide around again. I'll call it a temporary bad attitude. She did fine on her top heavy Wee in gravel, but never really liked it, honestly I didn't either. Tenere is light years ahead of either Strom off road.
