    Hi Nuke
Please could you share with me who you rented a DL1K V2 from in Greece?
    Thanks

Hi, Ken. I think early July is probably the best time for the James Bay ride.
    Here are my plans.
    1. Jumping the gun on summer, I plan to ride to Barrie for the annual V-Strom Spring Ride, if it happens May 4. Earlier than that, I will not come. If it seems unlikely to happen, I may be able to persuade V-Tom to lead it. He knows every road and almost every bear in Ontario, so he won't need a lot of preparation. If I do that ride, I will fly home.
    2. Mid-July until the end of September, I plan to rent the same apartment I rented last year, on Davisville Avenue a bit east of Mt. Pleasant Road, so my wife will be near her daughter and grandchildren. This is always a great source of joy for all involved.

I hope you will stay a day or two or three with us when you visit Florida in May next year. Next year I do not need to be in Canada for September, so I hope to spend all July in and near Ontario. I am sure we will be able to find some mischief in each country.

    Best wishes,
    Keith

Cool, I'm in the Calgary area. I'm pretty excited about this bike, looking forward to lots of riding. I'm buying a base Strom and looking to add the under cowl and a centre stand. One rider mentioned that he had some vibration after installing it. Have you noticed anything like that?

Thanks, Ken, for the info and vote of confidence. Everything I read/hear/see about this bike, people love it.

Just looking at your posts...unless you have negotiated a deal for undercowling, just hold off...lots of aftermarket units available....crash guards are an essential item in my opinion...this bike is easy to drop at low speeds (have not dropped mine yet, but can see how easy it would be and have come close a couple of times), first drop will pay for the crash guards. You are in a cool, area of the country...consider barkbusters or the oem hand guards...they really keep your hands warmer by blocking the wind...Centerstand is very useful as well, esp for lubing chain...but again just wait, try out the bike and make decisions later unless you have negotiated a deal for these items on purchase.

Next stop? Alaska! Nice ride, brother. How do you like that engine under cowl? That's what I was thinking of getting for mine. Picking up a 2013 next week.

Hello, I am from Cambridge, looked at your pics from the Beaver Valley ride, nice. Have been up there as well, any other favourite places to ride in the area?
