And yes, no product is going to help much in hurricane force winds. Just so you know, I have also tweaked my suspension to fit my riding style, so the brace was just inteneded to be the last little touch. I am 61 years old and have been riding and racing since the late 60's

I think your product ( Brace ) is an exceptionaly well made product. I have a friend with a Superbrace and would take yours heads up anyday. I will take it off go on a loop I ride and then put it back on and report back to you. If I recall when I first put it on the main benefit I felt was more secure handling in the twisties. But thruthfully did not feel any diff in crosswinds. I would not want you to buy it back. I will leave it on the bike even if I personally fell little diff.
As mentioned I will purchase you peg lowering kit and I will report back to you. I appreciate your work in developing these parts and will plug them and send you any business I can.
I have a long standing attitude about purchasing products from the local shop and not the box stores. So excuse me if I say **** Superbrace

Yep, the lowering pegs help knees quite a bit.

Back to the brace for minute, Superbrace is trying to put us out of business. Several people have compared our brace to the Superbrace on identical bikes and found it works better. They are not all the same and they do not clamp the same.

Any comment like "couldn't tell a difference" hurts us quite a bit. If its true so be it. Once a cross wind gets to 50 or 60 mph no fork brace is going to make a difference. However, ours has made a significant difference up to those speeds. It has generally been reported to make a significant difference in general handling, cornering, and straight line stability. A buddy of mine took his off for a while and rediscovered the difference it makes.

I would appreciate it if you could try the same and let m know if you feel a difference or not. And if so, clarify your previous posts. It would mean a lot to us. If you don't notice a difference I'll buy the brace back.

Yeah, I ran in to some horrible winds crossing a 70 mile stretch of Wyoming as well. Blew me over like a leaf across two lanes of the highway a couple of times. Had to pull over and wait it out for three hours. Gonna order up you peg lowering setup in a couple of weeks. Just had my knee replaced and I think that will help this summer.

I saw your post about side winds blowing you on the Astoria bridge. What brand of fork brace are you using?

I'm interested in getting an "elsewhere" place. Costa Rica and Panama, of course, come up in conversation with people who know nothing about either (which is me also). What's a good way to start learning the smart way about CR?

    Hey bigphish,

I can't believe I just saw this. All my time wasted on Stromtrooper.com and I've never checked out my visitor messages. I use the private messages a lot but never the visitor ones.

Love the Holeshots. Don't know about the Dobeck. Don't have anything to compare it to. The bike sure runs nice so I guess it is doing its job. Did you buy slip-ons yet?
