    Don,
Gary has a friend who wants to rent a cabin. I already am boarding with Pete. HIs name is Joe, and his email address is: drsjks@aol.com I have been corresponding with him, as he is a retired Chiropractor, and we have things in common. Seems like a stand up guy. I believe he attended last years event. Hope all is well with you. I will be heading down to the NY motorcycle show next week to see the new 1000 - it certainly has many more bells and whistles, and looks cool.

Don....did you see the NEVA18 - In Canada Eh post?

Would love to see you again, and on my turf. We have 2 dozen already, and rates go up after 10/14. Always room in the overflow grass area next year though.

    All the best,

    Phil

Yeah buddy. Dad bought it new for me and I rode the heck out of it in the boonies of Michigan where I grew up. I don't have the bike, but have the receipt from the dealer, but what's really cool is that I have the Chiltons manual with my 10 year old greasy fingerprints in it.

    Xr75, then 77 Yz125, then Kaw 440ltd, 20 year break, Drz400s, Klx300, Kz1000p...currently riding Ktm525, Dl1000.

Thanks Dad for granting my mini bike wish!!!

Hi Syd, Thanks for the heads up, I did see the post, it looks good. I'm back to working weddings on the weekends so it's tough to get to all of the VStrom events, I base it around my work schedule, so I won't know until just a few before. I'd like to get Aus to go too, he finally sold his house, so he should have more free time this summer. Me, Aus, Bill Woods, and Steve Bushway met up in October for lunch, Steve had just bought a Moto Guzzi Breva 750, a sharp little bike. Hope you had a great holiday season, looking forward to seeing you in 2017!

    Don,
Hope all is well. Just a head's up. Pete has started a thread under "New England regional clubs" for a July 7-9 weekend at Smuggler's Notch Campground in VT. Check it out. This weekend is in place of the yearly Mohawk Trail Weekend that Gary used to put on. Think about attending. Enjoy the winter!?

truthfully - its not super obvious - because I don't have two bikes to do a side by side comparison with; and I changed to straight rate springs at the same time - so two things changed. I do recall finding it somewhat better on the nasty section of concrete freeway (I580 in Oakland, CA). It was an easy change, not too $, so why not?

Great to meet you. I see Strom's around the roads here all the time, only ever really met a local guy that was a Scottsman transplant. I tend to ride most times by myself and/or with my son, but I am always looking for new riding companions, options. Spring is coming, time to start prepping. I am thinking of doing the NEVA in August as well, work will dictate that. Cheers!

Hey, I'm in Nashua right now! Staying with an old friend, possibly until Saturday. Give me a call at 309 868-5671 if you want to ride either Wed or Thurs. My phone got wet and is in rice right now. Gonna put it back together if an hour or two. If you call and I answer, I will be able to hear you. If you can't hear me, tell me your address and a good time to swing by. Mark

Hi there. I noticed that you ride both the strom and the Aprilia Mana. I ride an '07 Wee (my only bike ever) and am now secretly lusting after the Aprilia Shiver. I was wondering what your ownership experience has been with the two bikes, i.e. reliability, ride quality, comfort, etc. How do you like the electronic features of the Mana such as the adjustable throttle mapping modes? Sorry to pepper you with questions out of the blue but I saw my chance to talk to someone who actually has been hands on with both Suzuki and Aprilia. Thanks so much.
