Default Shift Lever Pivot - Loosened - FYI

I was installing the Pat Walsh crash bars and while wrestling the bolt on the side-stand I notice the pivot bolt for the shifter had backed out about 3 or 4 threads. Just last week I put loctite on the spline bolt but hadn't noticed the pivot bolt being loose.

It's easy - remove the C-ring (it's nice to have the correct pliers for this) slide off the shift shaft remove the pivot "bolt" add some loctite and re-install with a 17mm box/open-end wrench. Grease the shaft as it goes back together.

Worth a look.....
