I live in Colorado Springs also and am looking for Strom riders to join up with sometime. Any leads on that?

No sweat. The Lois thaing was good. We had 35 people at the shop, and then rode the next day.
All good over here. I sold the lil' Strom and am shopping for a KTM 400/450. Also considering a KTM 300 XC two stroke. Feeling the need for a smaller bike.
No other news. Trust all's well on your end.

Thanks for the shout back. Glad to hear there wasn't too much snow. Fast fire roads...sounds like a blast. I'm thinking I'll get out today -- maybe head up that way. Catch you next time.

Monday's not looking good for me. Although it sounds fun and I appreciate the invitation, I'm not going to be able to clear my calendar. Plus, I'm not totally confident in my abilities on the X in tight, technical terrain. I had a good time riding the rocks down at Penrose last time I was there, but dropped that big ol' heavy thing four times in as many hours! Hah! I'm still gettin' schooled on it. I've been looking around for a smaller trail bike -- 400cc or so. Orange would be good! Give me a shout next time you get out; I'll do the same. I'll give Jim a shout next week about the "Lois" event and posting flyers at RMCP. Thanks again for his contact info. Talk soon. --c

Hey Kyle: Thanks for the shout. That is good news! Monday sounds fun, and the weather looks like it'll be sorted out, but it'll be tough for me to get away. I have a day full of appointments. Not impossible, but tough. Let me work on it. I'd say right now I'm 25% in. Where are you guys thinking about riding and what time? --c

Hah! Well, you haven't heard about it because we're just now getting it rolling! Chris and I rented the space about the same time we went to Baja (in January). Since then, he and I have been working on building an office space there for him to house his 3D Animation Studio. We're mostly done with that, so now we can turn our attention toward more fun events like the "Lois" Open House and Book Signing.
Eventually, we'll be hosting tech days, etc. But realistically, for this summer, it's going to be just "special events" like the Lois thing -- and some other fun stuff we have in the works. Dude, when the wrenching starts, you'll be on the list for sure!

    Hey Kyle:
I'll give Jim over at Rocky Mtn CP a shout early next week. Thanks for the contact info. Lois will be a hoot!
Here's the link to the ADV-HQ event: http://stromtrooper.com/forums/showthread.php?t=37889
I hope you can make it.

    Hey man:
Did you get your BRPig runnin'? I'm going to get out tomorrow and ride a little; probably down at Penrose or somewhere south along Old Shelf Road. I've done some suspension work on the X and need to do a shakedown.

I also want to give you a heads-up. My buddy Chris and I are bringing Lois Pryce of "Lois on the Loose" fame to Colorado Springs on May 9. We'll be hosting the book signing and talk at our shop space on north Nevada. I hope you can come!

We're currently in the promotion phase, and I seem to remember that you know one of the guys are Rocky Mountain Cycle Plaza. I'd like to contact him to see if they'd be willing to put up a flyer letting people know about the free event. Would you PM me back with his contact info? Thanks.

Let me know if you can bust out tomorrow. You probably need a sick day, don't you?

Glad to hear you're out giving the knee some exercise. I think they just heal up slowly.

I'll give you a shout next time we get the enduros out -- it would be fun to have you join us if your knee feels up to it. Is your BRP runnin'? My buddy Chris is looking at a bigger DS bike (more street oriented like a GSA or KTM Adventure) to add to his stable. I'll prolly hang onto the lil' Strom for the time being so I can tour with you guys.

All good over here -- nuthin' new. Still have the lil' Strom, but have been considering putting 'er up for sale. Just haven't been able to do it yet. I love that bike. I might put some "street" tires on it keep it for another summer so's I can tour and commute in comfort. The X is just not very comfy for long slab hauls.

We were out on Saturday -- did a couple of hours down at Penrose Commons; also called Brush Hollow. Fun day! Really rocky terrain. Ride report here: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=437872

I haven't had the mountain bike out since you and I rode together. Jeez...that thing's just wasting away.

    How's the knee healing up?
