is that a calsci windscreen on your vstrom? If so, do you get bad buffeting above 75mph?

Hello there sir. My name is Al and i noticed that you live in Braintree, which is right next to me here in weymouth. Well anyways i was curious as to where you take your bike for servicing, or do u do most of it yourself like me? The reason i ask is because of my lack in faith with the dealerships that ive experienced thus far. I own the 2012 650 , which i love but the bike seems to be more vibey than it ever was. This isn't in my head either, lol. Im getting the vibes up through my pegs, handlebars, and a bit in the seat as well. I am approaching 10k and like i said the bike was never like this before. Been to a dealership and got the usual baloney that it's fine and blah blah. So now i feel stuck and quite depressed about it. I don't mean to be burdening you with my issue but is there anyway you could try pointing me in the right direction as to what i should do? I really will appreciate any help you could give me. Thank's. Al.

So I was Jonesin' for some riding last Thursday and decided to get out there and practice riding in the rain. Seemed like a good idea at the time...Found out that my FirstGear overpants really aren't all that rainproof, especially when it's freakin' pouring!
Water was running off my FirstGear rain pullover down onto my crotch and puddling on the RDL such that my balls were gradually being immersed in cold water! Effective at keeping me awake! Also realized the importance of treating my helmet visor with something rain repellant.

So two questions. What do YOU use on your visor to repell the rain? Pledge? And what have you found to be the best rainsuit. I was looking at the FirstGear rainsuits, online, but they are so damn pricey!

I was wondering if you wired up that controller for your heated grips? My controller went bad on my oxford grips and I would like to wire in the controller you posted. Did you leave the small black box in place and wire in at the original controller location?

Hi I saw a photo of your 2012 V-strom and noticed the unusual crash bars and skid plate. Who's the manufacturer?

Just got a 2011 Wee. Want to get Pelican sidebags. Wondering if those on your bike are Pelicans and, if so, what size. Do you have quick-disconnects, too?

You and Black Lab are a couple of "real characters" I must say. I enjoy reading y'all's posts. I see you're a church organ tech. Ever "experienced" the Wurlitzer Theatre Organ at the Shanklin Music Hall in Groton, Mass? I was just there last Sunday to see/listen to the amazing Phil Kelsall.

I've tried everything. Last week, I received a DL-1000 seat back from Spencer in Florida. I like it better than the Sargent, but I still can't ride for a tankful of gas before stopping and get the blood flowing to my ass again.

Tom, you may get an email from a riding buddy of mine that's going to the rally. He's fun to ride with. Bill Houghton
